SABRE

Welcome to SABRE

S.A.B.R.E. is an association of Black people living or working in Scotland who are interested in issues of social research.

Following the publication of the enquiry in to the murder of Stephen Lawrence, there has been a renewed interest in the lives and experiences of Black and Minority ethnic people.

This interest has been associated with a flurry of research activity. We welcome all efforts that help to challenge racism and combat the discrimination and marginalisation experienced by Black and Minority ethnic people.

Our aim however is to enable a positive and non-exploitative researching of 'Race', in way that is inclusive, participatory and empowering.
